A bass you would never consider playing

Rickenbacker. I owned a black/white 4001 back in HS and sold it within months. I bought it at that time because Geddy Lee played it. I loved the build, look, weight, but hated the sound. I really could never get used to it, so traded it in for a Precision and never looked back. Sorry Ric fans, no disrespect intended.

The new models have a push/pull tone circuit that bypasses the tone cap for a fuller sound from the bridge pickup. When the neck pickup is soloed and the tone is dialed back, you could easily mistake a Ric for a Fender.

And it's a left-handed model!

If you break a string on that, you're in trouble.

This one is pretty much the only Bass I would not play,..they are slimy and slippery, plus they lack the resonance I am used to

They're great if you like to play scales.
