Read the rules a few times, and I didn't do anything wrong. Posted my opinion on a bass I'd never consider playing. Didn't pick on anyone or call anyone out. You on the other hand....

I think he was getting at the fact that ugly bass threads are against the rules.

A Rickenbaker. I know everyone goes nuts over them, but I think they're ugly as sin.

People should really have to take a test on the rules before they are allowed to post.

No such thing as a bass I would not consider because of brand or traditional body style. Unless it is shaped like a penis or a butt I will give it a play and/or a listen.

This pretty much sums it up for me. If its 4-6 strings in 30-35 scale I'll give it a try.

However basses I wouldn't play are basses I can't use. I can't find a use in my style of playing for 10 string extended range and the rest of the extended range family.

I played a 7 once, a Conklin. Tone was average. Its not that I can't play a 7 or more string basses, but I don't know what to do with all the extra notes.

Anything that I try on, and is immediately uncomfortable, narrow short scale necks are in that category, so are most extreme odd shaped bodies (V's, explorer, Iceman...etc.)
