A bass you would never consider playing

Never liked those Steinberger Spirit basses. I've played one. Once. Hated the sound even more than I hated the look. You couldn't pay me to own one of those things.

I guess anything with a design that causes it to hang with the nut further away than the average bass with a proper upper horn does is out for me. Unfortunately that rules out some basses that I like the sound and look of (like Spectors and Steinberger L/XL/XQ's), but I know from having had those basses before that they weren't as comfortable for me to play, so no point giving it another go.

Also, anything with an uber-pointy body or headstock that looks like I ought to be wearing a leather harness and dog collar while playing it is not really my thing. Okay, I did wear a leather harness to a gig ONCE, just to be goofy. Of course now I'm admitting I actually owned that kind of stuff. You know what, just forget I brought it up...

..... a Fodera. Same reason I would never own a Lamborghini; it's unlikely I would ever possess the skill, talent and proper venue with which to ever express or utilize it to anything close to it's potential as designed, and could never justify owning one, even if I could easily afford to financially.

..... also.... any bass with a really poor setup.
