A big guy needs a big bass!

Oh come on now! The headstock is the last thing you're thinking about when you're playing it :)

Besides, the carved Brubaker headstock is quite functional. It's short, so it balances better and you're not banging into stuff. It's tilted and carved so that there is proper downforce on the strings, eliminating the need for a string tree.

i seriously do not like string trees, maybe i should look into the brute.

can't wait for this 6 to get here though!

I'm 6'5" & 275 lbs. linebacker size! I play fender jazz style 4 string basses. I look just fine having one straped on. Everyone is different why dose the way you look holding something you love bother you? It's all in your mind dude get over it.

its not only the way a small bass looks, it's how it feels. i'm coming to realize i hate small/skinny necks. glad your 4 string works for you.

That is why you need a TRB6P.;)

To the OP, beautiful bass. I had one for a while, nice bass just rather heavy and I'm a big guy that likes heavy basses.

Lol
This thread just shouted Yamaha TRB6 to me as well. Or Clement Anne, my biggest bass.
:D

Beautiful bass, Mr OP, congratulations!

Little guy chiming in! Ya..I hated P-Basses for as long as I can remember...I felt like I was playing a redwood tree with some strings on it! Enter my new Fender MIJ 32" Med Scale P-Bass...I love it! It really is important to have a bass with the right proportions...congrats on your new bass man!!

The builder of these fine instruments regularly participates here on TB. In fact there are a number of Knuckle bass owners here as well.
