For me, a good dog = My cat. She behaves more like a dog than a a real dog ever could.
My (well what used to be my) cat used to be a bit like that. She would play fetch.

hey rocket scientists i'm pretty sure the OP knows what a good dog is and is asking to find out more about why the majority of dog owners are such dumb***** than about dogs.
And this guy got i, I'd think you could've deciphered my vagueness.
I suppose I should've pointed out my boyfriend is home when I'm not, AND I take my dog to work, because I work at a family business. I can take care of him and spend time with him all day, but I DON'T however have time to constantly be on a dog about getting into stuff, while I'm running a machine.
I didn't realize I'd have to tell you my whole life story to get your opinion of a good dog. And this guy got i, I'd think you could've deciphered my vagueness.
And really, Eric, you need to stop. If you don't like the threads I make you don't have to post in them. There's no reason to be so confrontational. Oh, and Maki, you too. I mean, I know you guys feel threatened because there's anew girl around and she's getting your precious attention, but come on. Grow up.
nope ...How dare you! You don't know my life. I realize that I haven't given you all the details of my life, but you have no right to make assumptions about me. Just who do you think you are? I could be threatened by something totally different than a new girl. I could be threatened by my wife or that old lady that turns her sprinklers on everyone that walks by her house. You don't know me. Man this makes me so mad I want to smoke a cigarette and kill a beer. I know it's not nice to talk about killing anything but when I get angry, you gotta look out. Sheesh guys, I just asked a simple question, and everyone took it way to seriously. I was just joking, and everyone got all butthurt. So you can just post your nonsense because I'm done with this thread. Good night.

He's beautiful. One of my new puppies actually looks kinda like him as far as markings and color. My dog is probably the best dog I've ever had or seen for that matter. He's non-aggressive yet very domineering when it comes to protecting the family. He's VERY intelligent and, now that he's been fixed, won't pee in the house. He's a brown border collie named Yzerman and he's great with kids. I took him to church one day during a fellowship meal afterwards. On my church's land there's a big pond. The kids were told not to go near the pond but kids will be kids and they would usually sneak over there by it. Well, Yzerman is a herding dog so he would keep corralling the kids away from the pond. He's such a great dog.

+1. Yeah all the hilarity aside. That's one killer looking dog. I love that look he's giving the camera.

When you offer up more information about your situation/life that relates to your question, that information is going to be factored in to the responses you'll get. In this particular situation, you seemed to be asking questions you should be pretty knowledgeable about, but yet got irritated when you didn't get the responses you wanted.I didn't realize I'd have to tell you my whole life story to get your opinion of a good dog.
