A good reason to hate heavy amps

That had to have been dropped on it's end, the transformer definitely kept on going, headed to the left. It was probably designed to take normal wear and tear while upright. Not a full drop-test on it's side. So I'm in both camps, engineering and handling.

And usually it does take at least two things going wrong to make for a disaster, right? It's hardly ever just one thing. Was it marked "THIS SIDE UP"? Not that those sweaty guys [DEL]can[/DEL] bother to read that well.

Oh, technically it's not the speed that did it, it was the acceleration, or rather rapid deceleration. And more padding certainly helps in that regard; if it stops in only 1/8" versus a 1" cushion, that's about 64 times the force. That's why them good old boy racers can now slam a 1.3 ton car against a wall at over 200 mph and walk away from it; that little bit of give, an inch or so, that the new safety fences provide has a tremendous impact on the impact (?), even though it doesn't look like a whole heck of a lot.
