Not in a vacuum. In normal atmosphere the feather has resistance to the air. That's the only reason it could land last. In a vacuum both will land at the same time.

....Or, they should but a parachute on those Ampegs for this type of occurance.....

Is it just me or is the vast majority of this thread just dedicated to the science surrounding: 'The bigger they are, the harder they fall'?

This is why when I'm selling an amp, I don't do postage. Anything could happen to the damn thing in our postal service and I just don't ever want to have to deal with it.

I do cash on delivery and pickup only. I have never posted or couriered an electrical item and I never will.

It limits potential buyers but it eliminates postage mishaps and the possibility that the buyer will lie to you.

Yeah, but in all fairness Jimmy, that stuff generally goes to the dealer counter to counter, one truck, one sweaty guy. Different when you're talking UPS, Fedx, USPS. Stuff changes hands(and trucks) a lot before it gets where it's going. Many more opportunities for damage.

I don't see how that's possible. I have yet to see any Ampeg labeled trucks delivering from Woodinville WA to stores in Orlando Ampeg uses Keva Freight or FedEx.
