First post on the forums though I have been lurking and reading for a bit.
I wondered if you could just help me put my mind at rest that Ive made a decent-ish choice.
I Played Bass for about 12 years initially on a CSL? (I think) Jazz bass copy and later on a BC Rich (Japanese).
These suited me fine at the time as I was playing mainly with Punk/metal bands and never delving much further than this.
Anyhoo, After a break of about 10 years of not owning a bass I saw one going cheap in a shop and thought why not.
lol mistake number 1 - I am now hooked again
Now after playing this for about 3 weeks I quickly came to the decision that it wasnt good enough for my needs.
Its a Liberty bass and fine for someone just starting I guess but (mistake number 2) I found myself going round local guitar shops trying out and fell in love with the Ibanez basses.
Anyway to cut what is turning into a long story somewhat shorter, frustrated at not being able to afford what I would really like (ie Ibanez SR500) I started looking around at used basses and came across a PEAVEY DYNABASS. (90s)
Now Ive read all reviews I could find but couldnt see many specs.
I have ended up buying this and all I really know is that its got a fast neck, 24 frets, 2 what look like ceramic pickups and I believe is active (tho not sure).
Now far away fromwhat I used to play I am getting more into Funk/Jazz bass (or hoping to) and this did at first glance to me look like a really good option and a good deal.
Now what I would really like to know is any info you guys may have on these basses and you could also throw in if you think I made a mistake buying it.
