A Little Game With Dirt

I voted for 4 and 3 with four being my favorite.

As I always do with these threads I don't read any posts past the first one so I won't get biased one way or the other but it's interesting to note after voting that (at this time) those two are the favorites and tied with 18 votes each.

For as much as we say (and I do believe) that dirt is such an individual thing, there's a pretty clear consensus on this one.

This was kind of a weird expiriment since I didn't really do my best to optimize things. Some of the settings sound much bassier coming out of my amp than they did direct into the iPad. Maybe not incoincidently though, the distortion tones that I use the most in my originals rock band are the same ones that got the majority of the votes (3,4,6). What do they have in common? They are all using the Photon Fuzz.

1. Monarch
2. MWBD setting 15 (singleband distortion) Medium low distortion
3. Photon
4. Number 1 feeding into Number 3
5. MWBD 15 same setting as number 2 but with distortion at max
6. Photon Fuzz with same settings as three with Octave Up added
7. Numbers 1,2,3 at the same time (being fed into each other in that order)
8. Numbers 1,5,3 at the same time (in that order)
9. Number 8 with the clean taken out of the Photon Fuzz

CoolCool, so I liked the Photon fuzz best, by itself. Funny but if you had asked me before the poll which of those 3 pedals I thought would perform best I would have picked the Photon also, having never played through them.

I actually liked The Monarch by itself the best (1) ... but combined with the Photon it kills.
