(A Little Late) NBD!

Got my first bass last Friday! Squier Vintage Modified Jazz Bass:

I'm primarily a guitarist but I have been looking for a bass to add to my collection. I'm a big fan of Switchfoot and I love Tim Foreman's playing. Last time I hung out with him, he was using an American Standard Jazz Bass in sunburst with a tort guard. Being 16, I don't have that kind of money.

I went into GC Oxnard and saw a Squier Vintage Modified Jazz bass with that same color configuration. Normally they go for $280 and this one was marked for $150 used. It looked brand new. Not a ding or scratch on it. Two piece body, Duncan Designed pickups. It was really loud and resonant unplugged and it sounded massive plugged in.

I brought it home with a Rumble 15 and I use a Danelectro OD Pedal with it for dirty tones and it sounds amazing!

Now for some pics:

Haha they're great instruments. Totally worth more than what I paid for it

Congrats on your first bass, a wise choice. Also, you just passed your first real-world test in applied economics: Buy used and let the first owner eat the cost! Enjoy it to the fullest and I will crank some Switchfoot tunez (another great band which I'm getting back into)l!
