A Little Roscoe Fun

Here's some fresh Roscoe goodness! This one is a slap beast. It's got what I think of as a "hard" jazz bass tone, which lots of slap guys absolutely love.

It's always fun to see a raw top turn into a body at the Roscoe shop. Here's a before and after (and the after is dry, no finish on it yet) on a special order instrument for Sergio in TX.

This one is going to be moving forward rapidly, Gard is telling me it will ship next week!

Wow. I saw that picture on FB. I loves me some bubinga. It'll be exciting to see this one done.

Here's a gorgeous Roscoe that passed through our store a few weeks back. I've been way behind on processing photos the past few weeks, but I'm starting to dig out of that hole now...

Congrats and thanks to Elliott in San Francisco! This bass was a special order for him.

Oooo, baby! Some fresh pron from Roscoe!

This is a great bass. The neck is slender even by Roscoe standards, so it's super comfortable and fast. And the tone is amazing - it's that typical Roscoe tone, but on steroids. Big low end on this one, but also plenty of mwah with the diamondwood board. Killer tone.

The rich tone of the mahogany comes with a bit of heft, however: it's 10.2 lbs. I would normally add this to the Manly Men thread, but since I can't discount Roscoe basses I won't be able to do that.

Too quiet, indeed! I need to stir up some excitement for Roscoes. :)

2015 was a beeyoch for us financially, but thankfully 2016 appears to be getting off to a better start. I'm hopeful I'll be in a position to shake more basses loose from all of the makers that I work with. I know I've got one new Roscoe bass greenlit to get completed. That one should arrive fairly soon, and I'll get on the stick about releasing a few more into their production queue.
