That reminds me, "Calle 54" (Latin jazz) was really good.

Calle 54 is on my must watch list. I hear it is fantastic. I believe there is also a new Fania All Stars film either already out, or about to come out.

How could I forget???

The Wrecking Crew is a great film about LA studio musicians that is making the rounds trying to get funding to complete production. They screened it at our local music store last year, and it is doing the festival circuit as well. Look them up on Facebook.

Also the new Mike Bloomfield doc is bundled with a DVD box set. I don't think it is available by itself yet though.

So I did a search and seems its been a few years since this topic came up, though possibly in the wrong forum. I've been on kick of music docs lately. I saw Sound City, Too Fighters Back and Forth as well as the Rush doc and Shadows of Motown. Have any of you gents and ladies seen any docs recently that you think are worthy to take a look at? I got a little bit through the Stones in Ireland , this might get loud, etc. I'd really like a good LZ doc or Beatles doc but I'm open to all suggestions!!! Commence!!!!

Lots of great suggestions here! I'll be looking this weekend. I recently watched two on Netflix, one on Bob Marley, and another on Marvin Gaye. Both not bad.

A bit late jumping on the bandwagon, and forgive me for resurrecting an old thread, but I just got through watching the Muscle Shoals documentary on Netflix and I just want to say.......... Damn! That was powerful and inspirational.

I second Muscle Shoals, Rush, Beyond the Lighted Stage and 20 feet; all amazing.

I just watched the Glen Campbell doc a couple nights ago. Powerful and a real tear-jerker particularly if you have a family member suffering or has suffered from Alzheimer's. Must see.

Austin to Boston was excellent also. Talented young musicians on the road.
