A noob question

n00b!

Just kidding. :D Welcome to the effects forum.

Imo, I would say that getting an LBM would negate the need for an ODB-3.

However, I don't know anything about the new Boss Fuzz pedal, but TaySte_2000 just bought one. He'll get it soon and post his opinion, I'm sure.

I would go boss before I went for the Memory Man. You can find a better analog delay that's smaller and cheaper. Or you can grab the Guyatone MD-3 or the Line 6 Echo Park.

So I'd get the 2 boss pedals and the Muff.

Hmm... I love my Deluxe Memory Man. However, I also love my DD-6. Why not go for the DD-20, it's under $200 these days and is basically bigger, badder DD-6.

Actually, I would suggest you not get the Deluxe Memory Man because it tends to overload when you put a bass through it (though not always, and if you tweak everything in your chain right, it's okay).

Heh, just get the -6 or the -20 and leave the EHX for another time.

As for the chorus, I wouldn't touch the Boss. I use my Deluxe Memory Man for vibrato/chorus and it beats anything else I've heard hands down.

EDIT: One last thing -- the Deluxe Memory Man will not sound like a chorus and a delay in sequence as it uses its delay circuit to make the chorus sounds. It sounds completely crazy when you do multiple effects at once. But good crazy.

well im gonna see, not tha i dot ake your word:smug: but i find it a tough decision to make im ryin to find good pedals with only a few different effects so i can save rom but still have a nice array!:) but i also wanna save money:D

Boss TU-2 Chromatic Tuner (im confident about this one)

Electro-Harmonix Q-Tron+ Effects Pedal (99.9% possitive)

DigiTech Whammy Pedal with MIDI Control(would love the bass edition but im tryin to save money:D )

Boss BF-3 Flanger(Not changing my mind! Justin Chancellor uses the bf-2 so i say this is even better!)

Electro-Harmonix Holy Grail Reverb Pedal(skeptical.... its cheaper than the rv-5:help: )

Electro-Harmonix The Worm Analog Multi-Modulation Effects Pedal(I have a feeling this is the one because its vibrato, phaser, tremelo, and auto wah!:D )

Boss DD-20 Giga Delay(still debating...how it works as a good delay and for a good chorus patch:help: )

Electro-Harmonix Little Big Muff(99.9 percent sure....maybe the big muff?)

I would go:
Korg DT-10 Tuner (Great tuner IMO)
Q-Tron + is a good one
Whammy (That's fine, I don't like the effect myself, but if you like it then there ya go :))
Boss BF-2 (much more highly regarded around here)
Electro Harmonix holy Grail (maybe a Line 6 Verbzilla, I think a few people have this one)
I wouldn't get the worm myself, just get all those effects in singles :D
Boss DD-20 (looks like a good delay)
Electro Harmonix Little big muff
Boss OC-3 (Might be good, also look at the Digitech Bass Synth Wah, it has a very highly regarded octave function and it has added synth capabilities :))

Boss BF-3 Flanger(Not changing my mind! Justin Chancellor uses the bf-2 so i say this is even better!)

Electro-Harmonix Holy Grail Reverb Pedal(skeptical.... its cheaper than the rv-5:help: )

The BF-3 is a step down imo. It's made with cheaper components and is digital, yet it costs more! He uses the BF-2 for a reason: It's better!

I prefer the Digiverb or the Verbzilla to the Holy Grail. They both hold the bass just fine while not disappearing in a mix. I felt the Holy Grail pedals just softened my attack while saturating my sound with 'verb, making it boomy and undefined.

You can get all of the Worm's sounds with the Quasar, like I said. Also remember that you can't use more than one setting at a time, so it won't be like having a real multi fx unit.

Making a delay into a chorus is simple, just shorten the delay time until it's offset ever so slightly with your original signal. Chorus-Chameleon

The ONLY reason why I would suggest getting the original Big Muff over the LBM is if you want to mod it. Otherwise, the LBM is WAY better. Smaller, more durable, holds the low better (debatable), and 9v power supply.

Why did you pick the OC-3? I use the Ampeg Sub-Blaster, but if I wanted to go for a cheaper alternative, I'd get the Digitech Bass Synth Wah. The OC-3 may be what you're looking for though...

is the bf-2 discontinued or sumthing? and if i ere to get the single effect versions ofthe worm what should i get? i wan price to come out no more tha a hndred dollars over
You can get the BF-2 'cheap as chips' on ebay :) Ermm, these might go over your budget quite a bit but... for auto wah i'd go with MXR Bass auto Q, for Tremolo, maybe the Boss one? for Phaser i'd recommend the Tonefactor Nebula and fro vibrato you could get the Boss Bass chorus which can also double as a vibratoy effect I believe... Ok I think 2 of those are over your budget (unless you meant $100 for all 4 in which case it is extremely over your budget :D)
