A quick question about the G&K MB210 extension cab

Hey all,

I've had my MB210 for 2 months now, and It's really been fantastic.

I've bought the 210 for the ability to add an extension cabinet, so I was assuming the locking corners of the MB210 will line up with a cabinet that G&K makes.

My question is the MB210 is listed as 19x23. I want to know if the 210 neo can be put under the MB210? The 210 neo specs say 23 1/2 x 19 1/2. Why would G&K design a combo amp that can use an extension cabinet, then have none of the cabinets manufactured lock in with the combo.

I was hoping the spec listing was just off.

I was considering the 210 neo, 112 neo, or the 115 neo. Also thinking about making something from Bill Fitz Maurice.

I have been trying to call G&K for days now and can't get through to anyone.

Help?

We just introduced a 210 extension cabinet just for the MB210. It is exactly the same size as the MB210 and is called the 210MBE.

I've also bought the GK Neo 115 III as an extension cab for my MB210. The MB210 sits sideways on top of the 115.
The Neo 115 III was very hard to find, even online. Beware of Amazon, I ordered it from there and they shipped me the older 115 II model which is roughly 20lbs heavier and much bigger than the Neo 115 III. So, I had to send that back to Amazon, got the refund and to my surprise, MS came up with a used condition 1 at $50 less. I ordered it right away and I gigged with this setup twice last weekend.
Truly amazing products and so portable, both combo and cab fit in my backseat! Compared to my other/old rig, 2 4x10 cabs, 70lbs rack, my new setup not only sounds awesome, I can carry both with each hand.

Does anyone know when the new 210MBE will be available and where can I buy one?

A little off topic but I am not sure what is up with GK supply right now. The local GK dealer hasn't had any GK cabs for what seems like since Xmas. The only new heads they have are a Fusion 550 and a MB head. Not sure which one. A year or so ago you could walk in and pretty much get what you wanted off the floor. There was a large selection of GK gear.

I ordered a Neo 212-II that seems to be in stock at the Canadian distributer's warehouse but that's the last one. Neo 410-II are back ordered so I bought one from a fellow TBer last week.

Is GK simply building to order because of the economy? Any thoughts?

I'd like to stack my 210 with a 15" but the only GK's that I see are the MBE's 2x12 and 2x10. I wonder how either one of these would do?
It would be cool to see some pictures of some of the stacks people have on here also.

The 212MBE is 4ohms. Can't run it with the MB210. The only option really is the 210MBE if you want to stay in the MB line of GK products.

There are GK 115 8ohm cabs on GC.com
