A quick question about the G&K MB210 extension cab

The 212MBE is 4ohms. Can't run it with the MB210. The only option really is the 210MBE if you want to stay in the MB line of GK products.

There are GK 115 8ohm cabs on GC.com

I just looked on GC and you are right about the 2x12 cab being 4 ohms, not that I questioned you. I didn't look at the specs of it so I missed the 4 ohms. In the description it says it would be good to use with the MB210. They need to change that in the description. In your opinion which 15" cab would be a close match as far as dimensions?
I haven't stacked before so do you think another 2x10 would be good or should a 15" be stacked? Thanks.

Well it depends on what you like.

210 + 115 is a very popular combination.

Personally, I like the sound of a bunch of 10s. I'm going to either be running 410 or 610 total out of my MB210 (including the 210 that's part of the combo)

But plenty of people run the MB210 with a 115 cab.

don't worry about the dimensions of it. you don't need everything to look like it fits together like a puzzle. you just need it all to sound the best you possibly can given your budget and sound needs (provided the cab is at least 8ohms and 250 watt handling).

Me, I'm considering either the 210MBE or 410MBX (both GK)

I'm trying to get away from the bigger, heavier cabs. I may go with the 210MBE also. I've had 12 surgeries on my left shoulder so I'm trying to get something together that's easier to move.
Thanks.

Huh, very interesting... according to the GK website, they're actually going to make a 410MBE that is 40lbs. It's rated at 800 watts and 4 or 8 ohms.

Now, somebody before had said that a 410 with a high wattage handling would not sound good with the MB210 combo.

Bob Gallien himself said that the MBE cabs are designed to go with the MB heads AND combos. Anybody have any thoughts on this?

Would I be better to get the 400 watt handling 8 ohm 410mbx or the 800 watt handling 8 ohm 410MBE (which is also 30 lbs lighter) to go with my MB210 combo?
