Okay I am a little wierded out,I just put a Aguilar OBP-3 in my Ibanex SRX-400 Bass and when I plug it in and turn up the volume I get a Christian radio Station that comes in really well with the volume up on the bass and my hand on the strings.
This is going to be a very interesting call to Aguilar.

I get a country station through my amp if I get a little happy with the bridge PU on my SC Sadowsky. But my neighborhood is notorious for it, a couple of big towers nearby. The funny thing is I had an 8 track tape studio in my house years ago, and while I would get the radio through my amps it never came through my direct boxes. RF is weird stuff.

My studio monitors do the same thing. The funny thing is that the Christian radio station I'm getting is actually pirating the station I'm picking up from KVMR a really hippish (and pretty cool) public radio station. (I found out by looking up both stations call numbers)

One time I turned the monitor on and it was switiching back and forth between some conspiracy theory about how bush wants to rule the world and some preacher's rant about how the world is literally going to hell. :p Funny stuff!

I keep one of my Fenders at my daughter's house, along with an old Peavey combo amp. I always go over and walk her dog during the day while she's working. Afterwards, I'll often sit down and play a little. Not every time, but several times I've heard a Mexican radio station coming out of the Peavey.

Also, I used to shoot about 4 times a year at a Sheriff's Department firing range South of Nashville. I had electronic ear protectors, which enabled you to hear conversations, but would filter out the loud gunshots. Anyway, I used to pick up a Mexican radio station through those "ears" as well. (Cue the theme from The Twilight Zone...) ;)

The real trick is picking out the bass line to those Mexican songs and firing in rhythm to said bass line....I'd just bet the song "Mexican Hat Dance" can be real fun!
