A Slick Precision

Yep, although its a "jazz special" PJ but according to the laws of TB its still a P bass. My number 1 for 1.5 years which is long for me and I think the longest I have kept any Fender besides 1 other MIM.

I've never understood that

a P is a P

a J is a J

a P J should not be called a P......it's a PJ

If I was a buyer, or seller, I think it should be known exactly what it is.......but since TB likes mixing Apples and Oranges, here's my primo, P or J....what ever you what to call it??

My LB-100 is a great instrument but it certainly doesn't "play like butter" compared to my Med scale Alembic or my Jazz fretless.
And, I'm just fine with that.
My Alembic drives like a Ferrari; I want my P bass to have a big clunky neck and drive like an old pickup w/o power steering.
That way it helps to remind me to slow down and groove. That is why it is the bass I grab if I'm playing with a bunch of people.
If I'm putting on a solo show, I grab the Alembic all the way.
If I'm needed in the pocket, P-BASS.

For me a bass is whatever its pickups are , so a Mark Hoppus Fender is a P bass even though the shape is a J bass. A PJ bass is a PJ bass but if you wanna get technical it can be a P bass where a P cant be a PJ.
