A Slick Precision

Have you ever had a Precision, that you swear it's the slickest, smoothest, and best playing Precision ever? I have that with my Am. Std. Precision. There's no effort in playing it either. Anyone else have that best, of the best Precision?

Every bass that you get seems to be the best bass that you have ever played.....but yet you get rid of them all, just like this one.

I have this Fender Am. Std. "PJ" Precision coming in tomorrow.

I thought that you had said in another thread that you were "not impressed by it at all"? :eyebrow:

I've seen those white "mint" ones too and can't stand them. If you're gonna do mint, it's gotta be GREEN!
Stratosphere. 15.00. Done! Only took 3 days to get it too, while the others were 3 weeks or longer and about the same price. Probably can't see it in the photo very well, but I installed a zeroglide zerofret also, and a Geezer Butler pup. Plays like bhutta!

For me this 2015 us p is something else ....

I had to sell 3 basses and an amp to fund it, along with saving some cash, but so worth it ...

It is truly a well crafted instrument and I believe it holds some sort of innate magnetic power that has now taken over my life !!!! Lol ...

Thank you to everyone at Fender.

It is an awesome bass and I am stoked

Correction : 2012 not 2015

My heavily modded 2008 MIM Fender Classic Series 50's P bass. Mods include:

- Neck reshape to match the Geddy Lee Jazz Bass neck
- Hipshot tuners, including a D tuner
- Bone nut
- the back of the neck's finish sanded down
- Fender "F" neckplate
- Pinwheel truss rod adjuster at the heel of the neck
- Dunlop dual design strap locks
- tug bar
- BadAss II bridge
- Control cavity shielded
- new CTS pots, cloth wiring, orange capacitor and switchcraft jack

Strung for the past 4 years with a set of LaBella flats although in this photo I was experimenting with a GHS black nylon flatwound on the G string.

It's a very smooth playing bass and nails that P tone we all love. Every time I play it, I instantly smile!
