A Slick Precision

both precision basses iève got: an eastwood black & maple one & my main white & rosewood pbasses. The black maple has a more mellow tone but very punchy whereas my white one has a very overdriven sound. Just a few mods to do to both such as replacing the frets but they are very different beasts. the black one is more like a pbass in terms of specs, the white one has a jazz neck profile which i like. Going to be building a pbass that combines both in one: taking the best of each & making my perfect replica of a 70s olympic white with black guard maple maple neck precision bass. Loud & versitile. but til then ill settle with my white 60s inspired pbass :P

Thanks man. Yeah Brazilian rosewood is dark and beautiful. Too bad they don't use it anymore but you can still find darker rosewoods on modern Fenders. My 2008 AVRI Jazz '62 has a nice dark rosewood with some cool texture to it, almost looks Brazilian:

Yep. I've got a really great American Special P. Super clear, rich, aggressive sound, easy to play, and every note on the neck rings long and loud. No dead spots at all. It's also lightweight and has a slim, satiny neck. I even love the colors. It's honestly a perfect instrument, or as close to one as I've come across.
