A squirrel yelled at me today

I work in a lot of remote forest settings and can tell you squirrels are nature's little ***holes. I've had cones dropped on my head and been harassed when getting too close to their cone cash. It's actually pretty humorous.
FWIW... I've been told vocalizing in short bursts means "I'm here" and the longer machine gun like bursts mean "back off". In squirrel-speak of course...
 
You've probably never been deer or turkey hunting before. They usually alert the entire hundred acre woods of a humans presence in those situations.
Yeah, they'll alarm for any predator, but they've got a special level of freak-out for us two-legged types...
