A thread for with which to vent.

You know what I hate? I'm walking in a parking lot and some dipstick who obviously drives a much bigger 4X4 than he can handle almost runs me over because he is too proud to give it up and buy a freaking Buick already!!!!!!!!

But that's STILL not as bad as walking in a parking lot only to be almost run over by some dipstick in a tiny car who zooms out from between two SUV's. And THEN they have the nerve to give ME the evil eye because I just happened to be WALKING right here and didn't see their roller skate in between two school-bus sized cars!

Perspective isn't everything. But it is a lot.

Today is apparently conspiracy theory and indoor smoking day at work. I have asthma and it's starting to become a problem. This week was 39.5 hours working, 10am to close every day. Next week is the same. I'm supposed to be part time, and my boss told me in the past that if he works a part-time employee over 32 hours per week for so many consecutive weeks, he either has to fire them or change them to full-time. I know I'm not going to get changed to full-time.

I'm looking for other jobs, but I'm not interested in anything I'm qualified for, and not qualified for anything I'm interested in.

If I thought I could find my way out, I would love to live in your head for just one day.

Whats the problem? I see no ceiling cat.

So much intolerance, and I thought this thread was for all sorts of vents.

I live at the Jersey Shore...no sooner do we start getting things straightened out from Sandy, the friggin' bennys show up. Can't wait for them to leave.

and now you guys have not only bennies but the Sandy-damage gawkers too? Or are they not so bad? We were down the shore a few weeks back and already there were groups of folks walking around gawking at the damage. (we thought we'd be the only ones! :ninja:)

Apparently I am the only person in this entire business that does what they say they are going to do, when they say they are going to do it!

Pretty much this. I have maybe 2 people with whom I work that I consider professional (competent at their job role, not totally lazy, and able to think a bit for themselves).

I told myself today- self, bad coworkers and bosses have been the norm at every job you've had since after high school and it is not worth getting upset about to the point where it should affect your life. Are you now affected by past employees and boss that drove me to tears and rage from years ago? No, of course not.

Maybe some day I will accept my argument, but today I am still upset.

A college professor graded a paper of mine. I get feedback via email. His first sentence.........

"Well, you obviously through yourself into this assignment."

Come on, now! THROUGH? Not threw, but THROUGH.

Oy. :scowl: Again, this man teaches at the college level.

(By the way, I aced the assignment and his feedback was very complimentary.)

Thank you for starting this thread. I have been meaning to get this one off my chest for ages.

Often, when I am in shopping mall parking lot, and I'm backing out, people walk right behind me and get indignant when I don't stop. You know, maybe just maybe, I don't have perfect vision when I'm backing my 4x4 out. Would these brainless people not walk out into traffic when drives have perfect forward vision? No, they walk behind cars and get pissed off if I don't see them.

Yet another example that the zombie apocalypse has started.

Thank you and you're welcome.
I don't want to ruin a good vent by offering advice, but that's one of the advantages of backing into parking spots. It's awkward at first but quickly becomes second nature and is safer for both you and those around you.:)

If the dude can't see while backing up, I hope he doesn't back into a spot next to MY car.
