People who can't line up in a freaking straight line at the cash register. Somewhere between kindergarten and being old enough to have a mortgage, we all forgot how to line up in a single file line.
And related to retail...the whole culture of up selling and gathering as much marketing information as possible from every transaction. If I'm buying a $12 shirt, no I don't want to buy cologne. No, I don't want to sign up for your credit card. No, I don't want the extended warranty. And on top of that, you want my name, email address, street address, mother's maiden name, and blood type. What happened to the days where I take an item up to the counter, I hand the sales clerk money or a check or swipe my card, and then I go on my merry way? Geez, buying something from a department store has become almost as complicated as buying a house.
