If my niece posts once more on social media the fact she's pregnant and has to deal with all the ups and downs related to it I'm um following her. Jeesh give it a rest girl. Procreation's been done to death. YOU ARE NO MORE SPECIAL THAN ANYONE ELSE.

I REALLY REALLY REALLY HATE IT WHEN THE NEIGHBOR KIDS ARE ON MY LAWN!
whew I feel a little better.
Lots of legit vents on this thread, but this one hits on a personal level. Can definitely relate to the frustration AND the feelings of guilt over dealing with a terminally ill parent. Lost one already and the other is skidding into the dirt nap sideways. Crazy bit with mine is the young age - the one already gone went at 59; the survivor (who we expected would go first) is currently 62.I don't know if this is where I vent, but here goes: My father isn't dead yet. He's 96 years old and, although not bedridden, he can't walk. He can bearly hear and bearly see. He wears a diaper. He's on enough medication that food no longer has any appeal to him. He has panic attacks. He has crusty scabs all over his scalp. The few natural teeth he has left in his head are rotten. He gripes and complains endlessly, over and over again about the same things because his short term memory is shot, even though his long term memory is flawless. He has no more money left after breaking his hip, and selling his house to pay medical bills. He has never been a particularly good father to me or my siblings. I wish, for his sake and mine, he would die.
And I feel incredibly guilty for saying so.
Apparently I started following David 'Avocado' Wolf on Facebook. I have no recollection of doing so, and I'm slightly disappointed that apparently I know two people who do follow Mr. 'Avocado' Wolf. He seems to be the sort of anti-intellectual shyster much loved by Soccer Moms, Anti-Vaxxers and the sort of dolts that think 'chemicals' are inherently bad.
This just needed to be repeated.Medications. Side effects are as unpleasant as the stupid symptoms/conditions you're trying to treat.

My daughter was given into trouble yesterday at school by her teacher after saying, "Bears kill salmon." which was flagged as inappropriate language, and that they do not discuss killing at school.![]()
