I never understand these weird words used to describe bass tone. Buttery, fat, throaty, woody, beefy, creamy...

These are not words used to describe sounds. Perhaps they can be used to describe a person or a hot meal.

I agree, but to a point- i.e. A Les Paul having more midrange makes an oinky noise, while a Strat has more treble and makes a quacky noise, while a Telecaster has even more treble and makes a sound like a duck on crack and steroids.

Really makes things easier to describe, doesn't it?

I wouldn't know...all electric guitars sound equally whiny to me

P basses sound meaty, thick, and chunky. I stand by that. What is conky, anyway? I always thought that was specific to some types of hair.

I am not currently drunk.
