Here we go again... invoking 7-11 to push an agenda! I am getting sick and tired of this fear-mongering, damnit! Next thing you're gonna tell me it that terrorists want us to use mind altering substances and that if we want to use them, we are supporting...

Huh? 9-11, not 7-11?

Mind altering drugs have done more good than bad in my opinion. Aside from the fact "mind altering substances" runs such a wide gamut, if you want to be typical: I can only imagine how bland the world would still be in the drug culture didn't exist in the 60s-70s.

I don't think disco coke ****s did anything socially relevant other than create their own little world. But the art/music created by "druggies" is insane. The psychedelic culture was responsible for a lot of change, for better or for worse is opinion. I REFUSE to think drugs = talent, I'm not saying that at all, but perhaps a different outlook was/is supplied with such things.

Side note: Disco Coke ****s would be a sweet band name.

It really is surprising how hard some teenagers try to get ****ed up. Huffing is amazing to me (I've never done it, just the fact that it is even a real thing). Cutting off oxygen to parts of your brain, killing brain tissue, making yourself... well, as I've seen happen to a high school friend... ********. All in the name of getting high I suppose. :hmm:

If weed was legal, (not to turn this into one of those threads), I bet we'd see less huffers.

Well, first off, it's not really possible...since much of what you would call your "mind" is essentially made up of chemicals and neurotransmitters, which, in differing proportions, create different mental states to begin with, thus changing all perspectives.

Many psychoactives just change the balance of these substances already present in the brain.

Each person's reality is thus unique.

I kinda like that.
