About to fall into $1.5 Billion. How would you spend it?

I'd do a lump sum for the kids I sponsor in Togo, Africa to get them through school and college until age 24. Pay off personal debts, purchase a very modest home that is barely furnished but has a lush home recording studio, pay off some family debts, buy some basic music gear staples (GK 2001RB + Neo412, SVT + 810s, Orange AD200B + 8x10s, perhaps a Mesa stack too), Wal MK3, acoustic and electric drum sets, and maybe a synth or two.

Past that...invest and donate as I see fit? I think starting a business or a charity would be a good idea, I'd love to start a music school with a scholarship program for kids in underprivileged cities. The idea being to give them a group of like-minded people to hang out with and socialize instead of getting into trouble. They could choose which teachers they want to sit under and learn different styles from. Essentially preparing kids for the format/cadence of a college learning environment and hopefully procuring some education scholarships for them in the process.

I would skim off a small amount of it to ensure my own financial security, then I organise some kind of investment scheme so that my children would always be secure, but not have so much money that they would never have to strive to meet their goals. I would set up a trust fund to finance Multiple Sclerosis research with the rest of it.

Well, it's nice to know that there are at least two! One of my all time favorites and Cristina??? OMG!!

We caught them a few year back on gigantour (W/ Motorhead, Volbeat and Megadeth) great set.

View attachment 773118 How would I spend it? After all the Government thieves had their wack at the money, it would go into a non-interest bearing checking account (or 2 - or 3) so I never had to pay tax on it again. Then, I would buy one of these; the best riding clothes and other necessaries I could; sell everything else I own (yes, even my basses:wideyed:), and disappear down the road - forever. The country is full of Harley dealers and nice motels; and there's a million places I haven't been to in North America, and a million things I haven't seen. And these days, you can ship your bike anywhere... if you've got the scratch.:)

I'd buy the softail slim I'm "gasing" for but I'd still have a home, but riding, playing bass and doing electronic stuff would be my main things.

I'd build a house with view to the south at some cliff. It shouldn't be visible from streetview. It would be inside a tiny hill with windows only to the cliff's side, the entrance would be a concealed elevator and a one way emergency exit. Rest idk.

Finding a soulmate would be pretty tough, though. Same with new friends. I guess that poopie would make me paranoid to the max.

Maybe after all I get and enough too never work again I'd donate the rest to cancer research.

Yeah! I've seen them four times in Colorado. Twice at a pretty small place. They put on a great show and Cristina is the real deal. Very magnetic performer, she delivers all of what she does in the studio and she VERY obviously enjoys her craft.
