About to fall into $1.5 Billion. How would you spend it?

3 modest houses. A ranch in Idaho, house in Portland and one in Tucson. The one in Tucson would be the biggest cause that's where all the family is. All would have a full recording studio jam room with a P bass and an svt + 8x10 in them, drums, guitars etc. And lessons from Nate Watts, and Chris Woods
A big new GMC pick em up truck, and a trailer to tow behind it.
The fastest corvette I could get my hands on.
Then my brothers and sister could all have 5 million to do what they want with.
I already know my mom just wanted a new house and a trip to France.
After I get bored from not working for 6 months, I'd open a BBQ place in all 3 states that played live music every night, but only three blues baby.
After that I'd still have more money than if know what to do with so I'll call up Warren Buffet and have him help me turn it into even more money I don't know what to do with. Start a charity for poor kids who wanna play music or go to school, take care of a few good friends who've always been there for me. That's about it for now.
Oh and I'd build a trap shooting arena in the Idaho ranch.

Hmmm,...
I would build a jam space/recording studio/man cave for my bands to rehearse and hang out in.
I would have a team of roadies for all my gigs
I would have a dedicated soundperson for all my gigs.
(Basically, get to play, no heavy lifting, killer sound in the usual 300 person venues I play now
.
And the usual: new house (not excessive but built to suit, pay off debts, trust fund for daughter, make immediate family/close friends (that I already have) financially secure. Quit job and travel.
I would eventually need to find something of purpose to occupy my time, but I would think about what that is while sitting on a secluded beach somewhere.

Well, it's nice to know that there are at least two! One of my all time favorites and Cristina??? OMG!!
Id immediately pack my bags and got to the airport. Make my mind on where to go on the fly on whatevers catches my eye and spend the rest of the year seeing the world.
Then while traveling id wire someone money to finally make that damn talkbass app! lol

Hire a tax lawyer first.
House up here on the water with a boat, cottage up north on a lake with a boat, house in the Caribbean on the water with a boat.
Give a bunch to family, kids, friends, then tell them to not come looking for more.
Then chill out and travel, scuba dive the world, likely do some charity stuff, but not to any of the big charity corporations, they spend 75% of the money on advertise and management.
Something I could see an actual benefit from, schools in poor countries, breakfast programs for poor kids, that kind of thing.
When you have that kind of money, investing is pointless in my mind, stow it away somewhere safe. That's how most lottery winners lose their money, investing it. If you can't afford to lose it, don't invest it.

The first three phone calls are to, in order:
1) a good lawyer to help navigate everything that will fall out and fend off all the crap and protect your interests;
2) a good accountant/tax/investments advisor to help manage everything;
3) a good clergy or spiritual or psychological advisor to help with the psychological stress that will come with the change of circumstances.
After that, well, let's see....

All the obvious stuff first: pay off all debt for everyone in my extended family, set up a family trust company, buy a modest but nice home in a place where I want to live, splurge on a couple of cars, do some traveling and donate to causes I believe in.
Now, what about GAS? I'd need to set up a modest-sized, good quality recording and rehearsal space for myself (preferably on the same property as my home or nearby). Equipment? I'd need some new basses, of course. Thinking about a Dingwall or two, a Warwick Katana NT 5 (to go with my 4 string, which is my favorite bass), a Rick 4003S, maybe an OG L series Steinberger... I'd have to try out some amps and rack effects before I settle on my new rig.
I'd have to equip my band with some good gear, too, though I'd retain ownership.
We'd need somewhere good to perform, right? How about at the live music venue that would connect to my new craft brewery? Capacity of maybe 500, good lights/sound, clean, good beer lineup, designed to make load-ins and outs fast and easy, not P2P...
I'm not even going to go into financing some sub-$1mill indie movie productions...

While I am aware I didn't win, at least the jackpot, from last night. I'll play anyway...
Were I to win a large jackpot allowing me to have the funds to retire my day job, and aside from the obvious of paying off debt, helping others etc... and pursue music, and gear the way I would really want to I would...
#1. Find a boutique builder that makes one like this, or commission a custom job for a 5 string PJ bass, with a 24 fret neck with Fender Jazz type spacing, and the lower body horn area clear to allow for full fret access. Blocked and bound dark Rosewood fingerboard on a maple / bubinga neck (I actually LIKE rosewood thank you very much), and a Dark Rosewood / Alder / Dark Rosewood body. Passive electronics because, well that is the sound I am really liking...
#2. Keep my current basses, strip the SR480 and refinish it with plenty of Watco Danish Oil and call it good. Get a proper custom pickguard for the Ursa 1 and do the Dixie cup mod. Okay I will probably end up doing both of these sooner or later lotto or not. I love these instruments. Oh and Paint the headstock on my Affinity Jazz.
#3. Probably donate off my TS115A mains, and V2112 monitors, and all my mics. Upgrade to unknown powered mains and monitors. Not a big fan of QSC, not dissing those that like them, but I'd rather keep my current rig... They don't sound right to my ear is all. Several of the Yamaha models sound really nice.... Just need to audition them... Pick up a stack of SM57 / SM58s.
#4. Upgrade my mixer (again) to a Behringer X32 Compact. Maybe... Pretty happy with what I have now...
#5. Fix my truck (Rebuild engine, and 4x4 system), Purchase and PTM (Paint to match) a high roof fiberglass locking cap.
#6. Add one of those big wheeled versions of the Rock N Roller.
#7. Buy land, with no neighbors, build a house, and a large "man cave". Large woodworking / automotive shop on bottom, home studio / entertainment room / bar on top. At least 32' x 64'.
Fill studio / entertainment room with proper studio gear, full drum kit, 2 good guitar amps, my Rumble stack, digital piano etc...
And while all that is going on, remember I have retired on the funds... Dive full time into perfecting performance with bass and guitar, improve my vocals... Spend time developing the band. Probably just pay my band mates to be full time band guys because, well 1.5 billion dollars, why not?

Rush would be doing one more live date. In my living room.
I would buy talk bass, higher (get it?) Charlie Sheen to serve those cocktail wieners at the celebration party, and then buy up all the houses for sale in Portland and resell them for ridiculously cheap to fix the housing market.
