Thanks, PB, the Faital looks like a gorgeous speaker but I do not think I can import one into OZ for much under $300. Practically speaking, I can purchase an entirely new, high-quality speaker cabinet for that amount, so it is probably not the best option to get it to Sydney, sight unseen. If I could buy one locally I would think differently...
Meanwhile, it is DAY THREE of trying to get Fender customer service on the phone. Rings and rings then the line goes dead. Several posters have reported how terriffic Jeff Genzler has been. I guess he doesn't own the company any longer, but if anybody has his contact info, I would appreciate it if you could PM me. He might be able to tell me my best options.
