Last piece falls into place for the Berlin trip. Saw these at the London Show and thought perfect for getting some instruments over to Germany. Very well built so hopefully the airline won't damage anything or lose them.

Been working with Colin Cunningham on a new model. Colin has identified various features that he requires to cover his numerous playing styles so they have been incorporated into this new model. (as yet unnamed).

That's a beautiful shape, but it looks like a perfectly executed, understatedly elegant, conservative bass to me. I can't see anything that looks like an unconventional feature. Can you elaborate?

That is exactly the point. While Colin would love to play a single cut 5 the same as the fretless he has it is not acceptable to turn up to many of his gigs with that type of bass even rather strangely the Jazz gig he has. So while I am keen for Colin to play one of my basses the more unusual ones are not going to get him more work and may even cause him to lose work. So you are spot on it is a conventional bass made to suit him. There are no unconventional features by design. It has to look familiar and not attract any attention from those who seem to restrict what a player can play. In some respects that makes it a bit unusual for me.
