Are the acoustic 150b amps any good? I found one + a cab for $100 and I'm not sure on the prices of these amp but aparently it needs some fixing too, althought the guy didn't specify what. Anyone have any details on this amp?

I used the Acoustic amps back in the 70s-80s. I can't say I liked them at all. I have not tried anything they've made since then. They had a huge folded horn cab & not near enough power. The cab was mostly inaudible on stage but would rattle the bottles on the bar. It would have been better as a PA cab.

IMO, the 150B is really cool looking, but not so great sounding. back in the day, they came with 2x15 cabs. the 360 came with the folded 18 cab. i once put a perfectly working 150B on the bench and it put out only 45 watts before its sine wave started showing distortion, so not a lot of power there.
I have an Acoustic 136, which is a combo that uses exactly the same amp section as the 150B head, with a 15" speaker in a ported cabinet. I think it's a great-sounding amp if you don't need to get really loud. It's been my go-to amp for rehearsal in our basement practice space for years, and I've used it successfully for gigs with not-overpoweringly-loud bands. It didn't have quite enough oomph with a louder band in a big room, though. But, the speaker section of that amp is not very efficient, so you could probably do better if you run a 150B through a good efficient cabinet.
I bought a 150b in January of 1970 from 'Guitar Center' when it was a little bitty hole in the wall on a corner on Sunset blvd in Hollywood long before it became what it is now.
I loved it! Never had any troubles with it. I played it for years.
In 1970, you couldn't do better for $400. Unfortunately, now it would be a collector's item.

These are really nice sounding heads when they are up and running right. There are lots of places that can fix em too so dont be discouraged by people telling you not to buy one if it's broken. It's great for guitar and/or bass but you might have to seek out the right cab for it before it'll sound good to you. Not every head likes every cab it's paired with.

i will say that if you were lucky enough to own one back in the early seventies, you were the cat's meow. i still love the way they look.
waited four years to reply, my drummer got one of these today on craigslist with the original cab, because he wanted to start playing bass, it is in near mint condition and it sounded pretty sweet in the guys house, might be perfect for us, because they are always telling me to turn down my mesa d180
