Acoustic Bass Suggestions...

I always loved the tone on these but they were outside of what I wanted to spend on a ABG. At this pricegiven the instrument it is a hard apple not to bite. I had a Tacoma Thundechief which I loved the sound of but I wound up selling it when I went through a rough patch. I then got a Kelly DF 5 fretless... a nice bass but it did not have the same sound as the Tacoma by a long shot. This Breedlove Atlas has been the only ABG that has come close... $475 for this bass with a case is a  kinda thing that hit all my buttons.. again dagnabbit!:bassist:

Now I'll be sitting here waiting for the fedex guy with baited breath.

Congrats I hate waiting I just got an update mine is delayed because of the weather :(

It's very good it's a very large bass but it's not uncomfortable it has such a rich articulate sound the ebony fretboard adds a certain sound I can't put my finger on.

I'm waiting on more reviews for the Shortbass One but I may consider this Martin. I'm looking for an acoustic bass that sounds like a bass and has comparable volume to at least one acoustic guitar. Thanks for all the info!
