Acoustic Cabs

Yesterday I got a hold of an Acoustic 215B cab for $99. According to one of the Acoustic websites, it's 4 ohms 350 watts. I was playing through an Ampeg B2RE and it sounded so nice and the price was right. Has anyone else used Acoustic before? How did you like them?

I have the smaller 2X15 Acoustic 402 cab. Most articulate 2X15 I've ever heard. Had it 30 years, it gigged for almost 20, and it sounds like the day I bought it.

I have a Acoustic model 126 combo. I bought for $125.00 about three years ago and just now upgraded to an EA rig. It has more than severed its porpuse for me. I am definitly hanging on to it.

A lot of old cabs sound great, but most: (1) weigh the same as a boat anchor and (2) look like a black refrigerator. The Acoustics always had an edge up for style (I still like the blue accent) and certainly sound good (or always did in the day...).

I recently got sick of hauling my rig to rehearsals and left my ancient (1973) Peavey head and 215 at the space. I've been astounded at how good the whole rig sounds (I've been through innumerable amps since I bought the Peavey outfit new). It's a shame 215's are sooooo heavy. Anybody know a light one?

Acoustic is fine stuff. I wish I didn't get rid of my Accoustic 220 and original 2x15. Was mint. Oh well. I have an Acoustic 370 and would like to find the 301 cab so I could make ears bleed in the back row. In other words, if any Acoustic gear comes your way, you should score it if it is reasonable on the price.

I have an Acoustic EB 10 rack mount passive head with a 215B-120 cabinet w/internal 120 watt amp that I bought new in 1982. The amp is rock solid and has performed flawlessly for all this time. Still sounds like new and is very vesatile for bi-amping, running external cabinets and cabinet/head combinations for live and studio.

With the removable casters it's not too hard to transport and with a little help won't break your back to move around. I've used it for gigs all over the lower 48 and it's one of my main amps. for gigs here in Alaska.

Also a great Acoustic amp., another classic....but weighed more than the small car I had at the time!!

I had a 402 for a while but sold it off a couple years ago only due to size. I used it with a 140 head.

If I had the room, I would have kept the 402 and used it with a SWR W/M 4004 that I had for a short time, that was a great pair.
