If I have a passive wiring harness and active pickups, you can't use them together right? Like wiring the active pick ups by there self, to the passive wiring kit. I know it's a stupid question, but I'm a little confused on how active Pups work

Ok I have a set of EMG P bass Pups, with just Vol and tome controls. How could I wire a passive fender jazz Pup to it?
I'm sorry, I'm not clear on what you're trying to do. First off you talked about using active pickups with passive electronics, now you're talking about using passive pickups with passive electronics.

no, not really. You say 'active electronics', but earlier mentioned an EMG P pickup with volume and tone controls. If you only have Volume and tone controls you have passive electronics regardless of whether the pickups are active or not.
You can have:
active pickups with passive electronics: i.e. EMG pickup with volume/tone control
active pickups with active electronics: i.e. EMG pickup with EMG preamp
passive pickups with passive electronics: passive pickup with vol/tone
passive pickups with active electronics: passive pickup with preamp (with eq boost/cutv

Ok so The EMG's I have has a tone pot and a volume pot a input jack and a 9 volt battery clip, can one wire the pickups by them selves into a jazz wiring kit. If not can I wire a jazz pick up into the EMG's electronics?
you can do both things. however, the results won't be perfect since the emg pots won't be of appropriate impedance for the passive pickups and the passive pots won't be of appropriate impedance for the active pickups.

No I got the EMG's and the Fender Jazz thinking I could use them together. If I can't do it that's fine too, I have some Fender P bass pups I'll use.
