Adam Clayton amp settings help

Remember it's just a video.On the album he has used a 60's Burgandy Mist jazz with rosewood fretboard and the Sherwood Green 60's jazz with maple neck from both the last tour and album.

On the Elevation Tour DVDs (Both the shows recorded in Boston and at Slane Castle, Ireland), Adam Clayton plays a Fender Jazz bass (which seems to be an American Vintage '62 Jazz bass) on most of the songs. He also plays a few songs with a Lakland. His tone on the Jazz bass is awesome on both DVD's.

He was using 12" speakers back then,now he's using 4x10's with a 15' underneath.

He uses both.I'd say 70% fingers 30% pick currently.It depends on the tour though,back in the 97/98 Popmart tour he was after that real deep dubby sort of tone so he could get underneath everything so he used fingers solely except for New Years Day.He also used 10",15' and 18" speakers back then also.He uses heavy Blue Herdim picks.His tone for No Line On The Horizon (new album)will be the same as what he used for How To Dismantle An Atomic Bomb.

I saw these advertised for sale a couple of years ago. Not 100% sure on the name of the store but could have been The Bass Centre, London. Definitely ex-Adam Clayton Ashdown cabs, and I think they were custom models. The price was reasonable too. I vaguely recall thinking about getting the 2x12.

They were the cabs he played.I would have killed to get them in my hands.Instead i have a used pick and a set of used strings from the Vertigo tour.
