Haha, I didnt watch it this season except for the beginning with all the really bad people. Watching them suck really bad makes me feel better about my "talent."

My wife is a huge fan. Generally, I walk out when I can't stand it any more (which isn't too long).

Last night I watched long enough to see the girl with no bra singing. That kept my interest for a few minutes.

As to who will win, who really gives a crap?

This is the first time I have watched it. Melinda is stunning. I will buy her releases. She is very good. Laticia is also very good. The rest are mediocre.

It's interesting to see what talent is out there that often never gets discovered.

I admit it- I do watch. I think Melinda is the best, then LaKisha; for the guys, I like Blake, the beatbox trip is pretty cool, plus he seems to be able to arrange pretty well. He'll get a contract regardless. I like Chris Sligh, he has a good voice as well, and Phil can sing when he doesn't try to go out of his range. I still don't get why that Sanjaya is still there. That little girl crying while he sang must've been a plant...he ain't no "Beatle"! He downright sucks. No power, no range, just hair- and you can't see that on the radio!

i can agree with you almost completely on everything, except Blake's arranging skillz.

he gots NONE!!! ok maybe some. but when he redid the Diana Ross song there was no life in it. very dead song. hated it.


as for Mr Dirty Sanchez (sanjaya) over there... please get me a gun.

The only guy I've heard of is Sanjaya, cuz of his hair. I've never really watched this show. Although I did see William Hung's first ever TV appearance.

American Idol is bad television. It is nothing more than a giant commercial for Ford and Coke. It is the same tired thing every season. I don't understand how it maintains popularity.

I agree!! Other than brief glimpses of it when my wife has it on, I never watch it. Unless it involves cars going around in circles, 24, The Sheild or Battlestar Gallactica, I'd rather play my basses.
