Advertising gigs with Pokemon Go

My band made a tinder profile of a hot girl and posted all week that she would be at our show on Saturday. It was one of those shows where it was 10 bucks a ticket and you get paid based on how many people say they are there for your band at the door. Needless to say, we did pretty well that night, though our audience was alot of creepy looking and angry dudes.

Why not do everything you can to build an audience? Seems more silly to me to let an opportunity like this pass by.

I know 30-something adults that are doing this. They are the right age group for our 90's music. It's fun. It's in a busy, public place. It's harmless. It's cheap advertising.

i saw some people at disneyland playing pokemon go - most in their twenties. they didn't pay attention to anything except the game, so not sure they're going to pay much attention to a band - but if the advertising is cheap, what the heck!

I was asking if customers would pay a cover charge to get into a bar to catch a digital creature that does not exit. And if so, I am perplexed and think they are dumb.

maybe you never caught onto the Tinder thing. People catch all kinds of real things with that. Things like syphilis.

Wow. I recently took my family to Disney. I can't imagine paying that much money to NOT do DISNEY.
