A P-bass is the universal tool. If you want to fill the sound, a light touch of reverb does that pretty well...if you like it. You may also try changing EQ by boosting mids slightly.

Also, it's the Blues, the space between is just as important and the notes being played. Don't worry about the open sonic space, it's not a bad thing, honest!![]()
The other approach would be to fill in if possible or allowable for purists in a Rocco way - pumping some 16ths. Simple.
