After Tom's advice I decided to buy the amp one. Unfortunately, the amp is unavailable in all Europe, at least in the shops I can remember or google...I mean, in some cases the amp cannot be purchased because some retailers prefer to not take orders for this specific item, Thomann says the waiting time is many months but they cannot estimate safely. Is it possible that AER is selling so many amps that they are late with production? Very unlikely.
I mailed the AER company but they did not answer, and this seems to add to the retailer's opinion that something is going very strange with AER or their capacity to respect delivery dates.
It's a shame...I was ready to buy, informed them and no answer. To be honest, I cannot conceive to struggle this way to spend this kind of dough for an amp.
I will wait for a while to see if the amp pops up somewhere, but at the end I may have to buy somewhat else, albeit a different type of animal...just got an alternative advice from Tom...
Try ebay. I think a couple of dealers are selling there. Look in the completed listings if you don't see one..write the dealer and ask them to relist or invoice you if neccessary.I've see them recently..usually a 30 day return policy too.
Meanwhile, I'd really like to hear Tom's thoughts about using this amp. It's an astounding piece of gear.
