Aerosmith Rocks on Today Show

Aerosmith's coming up on a 50th anniversary, and will be doing a series of shows in Vegas to commemorate. I for one will make that long trip from Alaska! They killed it on the Today show, and i thought I'd share a few pictures. This was during of course "Sweet Emotion." Note that Tom Hamilton likes Gallien Krueger double stacks...

There has been some controversy around that van find, regarding the age of the painted cartoon character on the side not looking aged at all compared to the finish on the rest of the body, and the fact that the Pickers just happened to stumble upon it just as the band is reaching a milestone in its history.

Still very cool, though. The band bought the van back for $25k. Pretty steep for a rusted hulk, but when you're a rock star... Maybe they will spring for a full restoration job too?

Wasn't Tom Hamilton very sick a while back? I recall he had to leave in the middle of a tour. If so, I am glad to see he is back and able to play again.

I saw them in a Vegas last summer at their venue in the Park MGM. Great show but, holy crap were they loud. Bring ear protection!
