Believe me, I've wanted to do real harm to people but once you go there they've won.

I have defended a girl once when she was insulted by a biker and all I got was a broken nose. Had I reacted to his head butt I would have been knifed or seriously beaten by his buddies, who he obviously relied on as he was a little chubby twerp.

Real life isn't much like the movies. I don't know anyone who ever came out ahead by fighting. If you can't cut and run, and need to defend yourself or someone, fine, but otherwise? Not in my world. Self control is the way forward.

I absolutely agree and we're probably more alike in our pacifism than we differ. I'm not a big guy and stay out of trouble for my own personal health more than some innate sense that my anger will somehow win the day in a physical confrontation, but in such a case as we have here, I think it says more about the buffoons in the crowd than it does about the washed up phenomenon that is Afroman. Of course, we can't see what happens after the fact so who is to say he wasn't chased out of there by a pack of redbull and jäger swilling 24yr old bros, but somehow I doubt that's the case.

I suppose it's hard for me to watch this type of thing without a measure of karma being dolloped on the offender in the same video.

I agree completely with what both petrus61 and One Drop are saying, and in this case the boyfriend was totally correct in ignoring the Afroass and looking after his girlfriend... The part that amazes me is that no one else in the crowd did anything about the violence and he continued playing as if nothing happen until the stage lights came on and the police escorted him off the stage.

I'm saying that, sitting behind your computer in your cozy little den, with the benefit of hindsight and the full video, it's easy to "predict" that the best course of action is to "gently" guide the beaten woman off stage. That scene, however, could have played out much differently and, had I watched my wife or girlfriend get cold cocked by a full grown man, I wouldn't have sat there and waited to see what may have happened next. A "man" capable of sucker punching a woman also isn't beyond kicking her, or doing real damage

I've been in very few fights in my life, but I've been in enough to know how I would react. You can call me an internet tough guy if it makes you feel better.

Its shameful how "defense" and "revenge" get contorted by so many people. I'm not saying the guy should have been "attacked by the mob" but he certainly would have gotten hit to make sure he was away from the girl and not going to continue his attack.

I think the problem was solved the best possible way.
