Aggie DB750, GS412 Stack

Thats the rig I gig with most of the time.
Loud as hell, great feel, big low end while still tight (switch the preamp tubes from stock in the 750), great punch and really cuts through on stage, and for me, a great rock tone.:bassist:

I forgot to mention, for a rig this size, power and volume, its not that hard to move arround and has a small foot print on stage.
So you play Modulas, Zon and Tobias through it?
I'll be using an MTD 535 and a F BN5 mostly. Some Warwicks on occasion. Think it's a good match?

Oh, and won't that go to 2 ohm, so you could add another 412? Would that kill the front 3 rows?

Your basses should be fine with it. I had a Fbass and jmo, but I thought the aguilar tone kinda took over and left the Fbass as nothing special. I would think your warwick would have nice growl and your MTD would stay modern yet warm.

Yes the 750 does 2 ohms. Ive been looking on the side for a good deal on a second 412 for outdoor gigs and, well........ cos it would look cool with two 412s. :eyebrow: :D

Do you have it in a rack, if so, how big and what do you have with it.
Don't mean to be a pain, but I have to order it. I don't think there in a dealer in the state or even north Texas.

I had this exact rig, and may have even of used it in some of the Norman/OKC venues you might have been in. Just stupid power, plain and simple. I used it @ the Deli in Norman, and I easily could've buried the drummer. Another time at the Blue Note, with a thick and bright sounding Pbass, it had a grindy rock tone that sliced thru the mix. The great thing about it though is that it always had that amazing presence WITHOUT overpowering everything else in the mix. Its the magic of 12's. Hit me up PM with some questions if you want to hear me ramble!!!:D

As another analogy, I will say that side by side (and if you remember I used to help you out at GC when I worked there, and have in fact played one of your Fbasses that you brought up there last year) with an ampeg SVT4PRO thru an 8X10, my aguilar rig just crushed the ampeg in tone, volume, etc.

Of course I remeber you. Where did you get your rig?
Right now I'm really PO'd, I have an Eden WT1205 and D410XLT and one of the speakers blew at practice volume, and I'm being told that I over did it. Well if it can't handle practice, it certinly can't handle a gig. I was going between Aggie and Eden in the first place. I love the sound but if they are that flipping wimpy, I'm just going to go with something I know can handle it.
Practice volume, no bass boost, no turbo boost, bass turned 1 notch past 0, and I over did it. Well &%#$@&*^( them.

I don't think I ever heard the Aggie rig fart once, and I pushed it pretty friggin hard at times. We're talkin active Sadowsky's runnin at over 100db with extreme EQ, and NEVER a fart.

That's the thing, no farting, no distortion, 4 string not 5, no low B. I thought my battery was bad, then I thought a cable, then a tube, no it's the bleeding speaker.

I wish I had more hands so I could give the GS412 more than two thumbs up. GREAT sound, easy to move around, huge power handling and volume potential, but also sounds amazing at low volume.

I'm running mine with an M-pulse 600 and its

I tried a DB750 with it when I bought it ... and that probably sounded even a little better than with my M-pulse.
