Aguilar AG4M Music Man pickup

Hi,

Does Aguilar AG4M Music man pickup have grounded polepieces. Mine buzz if I touch polepieces when not touching strings or any metal part. Is this just how they are made normally? They are made in vintage specs so is buzzing common with vintage Stingrays.

Late response, but...

The pickup does not have grounded pole pieces, and it is a bit more prone to noise as well due to its ‘true to vintage’ nature.

I installed mine in a Sub Ray4, and ended up shielding the pickup cavity and also grounding the pole pieces myself. That made the pickup behave better in terms of hum (which I was getting before better shielding) and prevented any issue with clicking or noise when I touch the pole pieces as well.
