Aguilar AG500SC vs Genz Benz Shuttle 9.0

Hey y'all, so I'm on the road right now and while staying at my folks house on my days off I checked out the local guitar center. I played an Aggie 500sc and it was AWESOME. My current amp amp is a Genz Benz Shuttle 9 and while it is a great and portable little amp, I find it lacking and not really my style.
My past amp was a MarkBass Little Mark that i blew up after doing 400+ gigs with and I loved that amp to pieces (apparently). The Genz is very nice but not really what i desire in the tone department, honestly. I like a fat thick low and high mid tone with lots of presence. The genz is a bit brittle sounding with my Epifani cabs and I really don't know how to get a desirable lowend out of it. My backups are old GK 800rb and 400rb heads and they're great, but currently out on loan to other musicians.
So please let me know some opinions-I'd be trading the amp in at a loss if I decided to swap it with the Aggie (losing about 200 bux, or really spending about 200 bucks?), but I'm really happy with the tone I got with it. The cabs I use are a 4ohm Epifani PS410 and 8ohm PS210 for smaller gigs. Thanks alot guys! Oh, also the Aggie comes with a giant rack case with power conditioner and rack tuner.

I do love the Markbass stuff, but this was my first time with the Aggie and I really dug it. Also, it's used and selling for pretty well under what the equivalent Markbass heads were selling for there. Generally i really don't like doing "trade-in" and used business with guitar center but this seems like a good opportunity though. Thanks for the input so far.

I recently traded (here on Talkbass) a Genz Shuttlemax 12.0 for an AG500SC.
I probably took a loss around as much as you're expecting, but it was worth it. The Genz was awesome, but like you, it just wasn't the tone that I was going after.
I received the Aggie a few days ago without having played it in person, and I was blown away. Id make the trade over again--I REALLY like the 500SC.
I'd say go for it!

BTW with an Aggie you'll never need more wattage.

Genz is all about wattage and small footprint (of course with its own signature sound), but AG500SC is something else, in that it's about tone and happens to be extremely loud. A conservative 500 watts.

Yeah, I really admire what Genz Benz is doing but I can't seem to tweak it so it really "wows" me-and this is all my own personal preferences. The portability is great, especially for someone who carries gear to gigs several nights a week but I'm just not satisfied with it. I put the Genz Benz on a local Craigslist ( i'm out of town on tour right now) and seeing if there are any bites within the next couple days before we head on the road again. That would help the money situation but I might just suck it up and grab that Aggie before someone else does. I really appreciate y'alls input on the topic! Thanks for the guidance!
