In an attempt to enjoy a fun DIY cabinet project, I'm doing a bit of research now, and I can't seem to find an answer. I currently have a MarkBass Little Mark III head, and was wanting to make my own 4x10" cabinet. I was hoping to mimic the Aguilar DB 410 cab. Can someone tell me which driver that cab uses? If it encroaches on copyrights, I understand. Otherwise, what would someone recommend as a competitive driver? Thanks!
I'm sure Aguilar has those spkrs spec'd out just for their box- and you won't find them "off the shelf". You could probably ask Aguilar to sell you them though, but it may be less expensive to buy a DB410.
Ah; that makes sense, then. I'm used to things like Marshall g**tar cabs where it's definitely Celestions, buyable off the shelf. I'll just keep reading up on the other DIY threads in here to try and find a recommended 10" driver, then. (If you have any quick links, that's also helpful.) Have a great day, guys.
I would take a gander at the eminence speakers web site. I would also consider building two eight ohm 210's rather than one 410.
Cool. I looked at Eminence briefly before lunch. Also, after talking more with my buddy, we both agreed on building a 210 to start (partially cost, partially the scalability for future).
So, if a 210 cab is the way to go, and MarkBass recommends an 8ohm cab (this will allow for a second 210 cab later), that means I need either two 4 ohm or two 16 ohm drivers, right? Eminence's 10" bass drivers only have one 4 ohm driver option (BP102-4). Did I pretty much just narrow down my options to the driver to get?
You can buy the drivers right off their site for about the same as eminence. They are made by eminence specifically for aggie. I just bought a replacement for my db410 cab. Good luck
