Aguilar Super Doubles - who knows stuff?

I've got DCBs in two basses and are very happy with them.

That has two MM-style pickups, right? I don't believe the SDs or DCBs are available in MM size.

I am considering changing the Rockfield pups in my Traben Chaos Obsession 5 String for some Aguilar pups and trying to decide between the SDs and DCBs.
I tend to go for quite a bright sound and am currently using D'Addario Flexsteels. Might pickup up some DCBs soon and give em a try. Will post my thoughts

The newer version of the Chaos (Chaos Core for example) has MM style but mine has 2 x Rockfield Humbuckers that match up to the dimensions of the DCB G4 set.

Admittedly I am quite a noob when it comes to the internals of a bass and its something I am trying to get more to grips with.

Hey everyone, I have a set of Aguilar Super Doubles. When looking through them I noticed the coils are wired together in series. I'm wondering, has anyone ever tried cutting the wire and using them with a dpdt switch as single/series/other single coil?

I love my super doubles (wired in series). I’ve had them since the day they came out. I swapped them into my Lakland 55-01 and they are amazing. I will never stop saying enough good things about these pups.

Ibanez SR2405w comes with super doubles. I like the Nordstrand big singles better, based on the demos here and the SR1305.

I was thinking about putting a set of the Super Doubles in my Regenerate 5 bass. The string spacing is 19mm (same as Lakland I think). Did you have to order a set with 19mm string spacing, or does the stock offering work?
