Any videos to share?Just got my new bass today with the Aguilar Super Double pickup and so far I am really digging these pickups!! A thick and punchy tone profile but yet still articulate.
Thick lows and sweet highs perfect for both finger and slap playing. I'm looking forward on how these pickups sit in a live situation.
No video but thinking of making one.
Ordered. Back ordered and possible 3 week wait time.
...as long as I was online and shopping for pickups, I snagged the Steve Harris P pickup for another bass![]()
Got the super doubles in and gave them a good 3 hour work out. These pickups cleaned up the muddiness I was having trouble dialing out and has brought my rig to life! I wasn't expecting that. They sound awesome, like a jazz on steroids. Nice mid, clean highs, even with old strings. Lows are round and overall great articulate sound and punch. Slap sounds great too. Just wanted to share the info and my opinion on these.
Yeah, I read that too and had concerns, but was pleasantly surprised. Even on an old set of strings everything in the higher register came through clean. Thanks for the review man. That's really interesting, in that Musikmesse video Dave describes them as being darker and slightly less detailed. I know the super singles sound like a jazz on steroids and sound awesome, didn't expect the super doubles to though.
