Aguilar Tone Hammer 350

I run my TH350 through a 4 ohm, Thunderchild 115 and it delivers all the volume I need (just) for 250 - 300 people at indoor fundraising events, 100 people in a martini bar and small outdoor events with about 150 people. In the four years I have owned it, it has been rock solid with no issues at all.

I purchased it as a backup. If it was my primary amp I would need the 500 for the added features set: effects return/aux in and headphone jack.

I just bought one of these used on Reverb. I had to have one after trying the TH500 in a store and loving it.

Of course it's only after buying it that I realized there was no headphone jack, which I use quite a bit with my current setup. Worst case scenario I can sell it and get a Portaflex 350 or something. Should be coming in tomorrow and I'm really excited about it!

Well I've had this amp for about a week and a half now and I do not regret my purchase one bit. I love the wide array of sounds I can get, and I love the sound of the gain and drive. I'm running it with boosted high mids and treble, with the gain around 11:00, the master fairly low (bedroom volumes) and just a bit of drive. Not only has it replaced my old GK MB200, it's also convinced me to sell my SansAmp. I tried it with the Aguilar and I did not like it at all, compared to when I was using my GK and the SansAmp added that extra something.

Kudos to Aguilar for a great product!

I had a second-hand Ashdown 115 combo which exploded so I bought a Terror Bass 1000 head and OBC115. Someone stole it and insurance paid for me to get an AD200B which was totally my dream head but, for pretty small gigs and one person packing the van, it seemed overkill and our drummer got really sick of it (we were a two-piece band at the time) because he has shoulder problems and our bassist can't lift any of the gear :D

So I was looking for small heads and found this thread, I've been reading it over the last week or so at work and decided to sell all my stuff and buy a TH350 and AB210 4ohm in hot white. I played it in my flat last night and it sounds so super nice, I can't even tell you. It's so loud, too! I don't even play bass in our band (the only bassists I know never seem to own any equipment) but play baritone through a guitar amp and a bass amp so I'm psyched to play it at our gig next week.

Thanks for all the advice! I'll totally post a picture later, it looks berserk too.

Technically, the sound has great, more even, coverage perpendicular to the orientation of the two drivers. As you have it now, works great for a personal monitor. For jamming and gigging, with the cabinet set vertically, there will be better coverage for the stage and the audience.

Another thing you may find is the sound will not be as boomy when the cabinet is set vertically.

You're right, it is super jazzy. The gain is amazing at quarter past too. That's good to know it's not just me - I played a guitar through my AD200B to demonstrate it worked to the buyer and it sounded pretty awful. I can't believe I had to buy this thing for my bassist and now I don't get to play it.

I've read a lot of reviews of things that have convinced me to buy something and then it turns out they're the worst, I'm so psyched all of you guys turned out to be this right - Best amp.

The TH350 is a wonderful little amp. I sold mine after a year or so of heavy use only because I was curious about other class D amps and more than once I kicked myself for it. Only until fairly recently when I got the Quilter have I been as happy with a solid state head. I also used my 350 with a TI flat strung P Bass but through a Bag End S15.

I have post this also on the TH500 megathread and I have now realized a TH350 thread also exist, silly me.
I am ordering a TH350 and I was thinking to pair it with an Ampeg PF112HLF and I was wondering if any of you have experience with this combination.
The Aguilar DB112 is also under evaluation from my side but I like the price and the format (horizontal vs vertical) of the ampeg better.
I am quite a novice and would like to hear the main difference between these two cabs.
I will use it for a starting project with friends (mostly electronic drum, synth, no guitar and bass of course).

It does make sense. My only comment is that I used a DB112 for many years standing “on end” I added new feet to the corner protectors (easy) and turned the logo 90 degrees (moved one screw).

Depends on the room and volume needed! I use a Tone Hammer 350 with a Barefaced One10 and it's plenty loud enough for restaurants & small bars doing jazz & neo-soul. Sound-wise it's fantastic for that application - I like a good old-school soul sound and it works great for that.

I have used a TH350 with a 2x8 in a small bistro with about 45 people. It was perfect. I have also used it with a 115 in a bar with about 125 people ... that was pushing it. Both are 4 ohm cabs. If I was playing in loud bars on a regular basis, I would want something bigger but right now it is perfect for everything I do.

it’s a great, rock solid amp.
