Aguilar's Pedal Casing Remodel??

I ordered a Tone Hammer DI pedal. The sales rep called me and told me Aguilar is remodeling their pedal casings. I gotta wait a couple extra weeks for the pedal, but I'm fine with that to get the new casing.

Anyone hear anything about this? Is there a new look to the pedal?

That's great new. The effects are pretty good, but the case design always made me wonder what they were thinking.

that would be AWESOME if they go to a more normal pedal enclosure. i like the Aggy stuff a lot, but HATE trying to place it on a board.

The Octamizer was at the top of my octaver list regardless of the case. A redesign would make it number 1 with a bullet.

Octamizer is SO damn good. my favorite analog octaver pedal.

Hopefully they redesign the battery compartment, or at least make the leads longer. Love my Tone Hammer, but installing batteries was a real fun time <sarcasm ON>

Hopefully they lose the big metal lip that made fitting them onto a board such a pain.

yeah. i don't ever use batteries, so i'd be fine with a smaller case that doesn't have a battery compartment. but going to a more standard Hammond 1590 style would be a GREAT idea i think.

Yeah, with the amount of times I heard that complaint, right after I ordered the pedal I went down to LnM and bought myself an ISO Pump hehe

think that's my next purchase, until I can afford a new aggy tube I'm gonna be buyin up all the little pieces to make me sound more Aguilar.

Not in the cards at this time. We've been back ordered on some of the more popular units, so that would be the reason for a couple weeks of waiting.

We are making the wires slightly on the tone hammer battery clip to make it easier to change batteries.

yah. Octamizer sounds so GOOD. i tried to keep one on board for the longest. but it always was such an awkward fit, and i'd have problems with it getting unplugged. loved the sound, case style was too much of a hassle.

I spoke with our USA sales manager, Dale Titus, and it seems he told some dealers that we were waiting for a metalwork shipment. This seems to have been misinterpreted by the dealers as waiting on "new metalwork", which is not the case.

Mr. Dave The Aguilar - thanks for popping in and clearing things up! just curious, ARE there any plans to change the pedal case design to something more traditional? you guys have some great sounding gear (i LOVE my 4 GS 12's rig), but i think the odd physical design is holding a lot of people back from using y'alls pedals.

I would really like to see those enclosures redesigned a little. I had an AGRO that I liked very much but the input and output jacks couldn't seat firmly in all the way. I was very tempted to take a bench grinder to it to fix the problem. Quarter inch off the top would make Aguilar pedals much much more pedalboard friendly. Nobody is going to miss that little excess metal. Please do a little more metalworking .
