AI (Artificial Intelligence) Creators Club!

I’m going with creators. It’s another powerful tool, and it’s also the title of the thread
as i posted before: i'm not creating anything...i've literally just put pictures to music. that said, several have already posted their actual creations (e.g., @RustfeatherBass, @scott sinner) where they used the AI tools to surpass what those tools could render on their own. that's enough for me to call those creations "art" and "artistic." edit: creativity is in the minds of those who are 'manipulating the assets' to arrive at something new, just like a painter, sculptor, etc.

5 of the best Stem Separation apps according to Musicradar.
i looked at all of them (didn't 'get' a couple of them).

in the final analysis: i don't have any use --- i'm a music creator, i'm making my own stems as original tracks. but i can see that some folks might rely on those softwares to do their thing...whatever that is...remixing?

but it's impressive what AI can do.

I don’t use any of these, but do use another. Great for learning covers and for transposing tunes for rehearsing. As one example, If we drop 1/2 or full step I’ll strip the vocals and save an MP3 so members can practice vocals in key. Also good for dropping instruments to practice along with, you get the idea. :)

i'm still curious about why the image generators i'm using can't count (number of figures in the image, number of fingers on a hand, etc.).

it seems like AI isn't really ready for prime time if it can't count! :roflmao: OTOH, i still think the images are fun/funny.

On the subject of stupid sh*t you can do with AI... thought it might be fun/stupid to create the cheesiest 80s metal band/album cover possible and attach it to an old-school metal album I recorded but never did anything with. I give you... Daggar LOL

Killer opening old school metal scream on Quiet One, riff sounds like Loudness from the 80's.

I tried Guadio. The first track it failed to separate at all. The second was OK for drums, pretty poor for bass. There is a way to go yet. It might work as a learning aid, but you're not going to be separating tracks to remix quite yet. Which is a shame as I have old recordings on four tracks with various instruments bounced down I'd love to do something with.

Hey there ai creators and haters! Here is a super weird video I made for a super weird song.

For those who might be interested, this is what was done:

1) generated a series of weird images that I thought matched the theme, using SDXL 1.0
2) refined them in SDXL to make them weirder
3) brought each image into Runway to turn them into video
5) brought those clips into iMovie and strung them together

The music is an ibanez gsrm25 mikro 5 string into a keeley moon fuzz into a strymon iridium over my crappy drumming. Vocal noises are a 58 into that new Death By Audio Space Ensemble vocal fx box.

wow! what a project --- i gotta believe that took some work, amazing!

cool music, @RustfeatherBass, nice job on the 'mood tone'. the graphics are super. how you get the themes to react like they do, in runway, is amazing all by itself. kudos!

do you know, or can you estimate, the time this took (not counting the music track)?

no matter, it's fabulous! :hyper:

Thanks, @JRA !!

Time-wise, it took me an entire day, on-and-off. Maybe 8 hours all-in. Maybe more, i wasn't entirely tracking it :)

What helped speed things greatly was using starter images with the video generation tool.

Last time I tried creating video with just the text prompt, and results were a lot less predictable, so there was a lot of unusable footage and wasted effort (and credits!).

This time, I created images first, then used the "Image + text" prompt in the other program to create the video. This ended up being much more efficient, and yielded more predictable results.

Another efficient thing was bouncing between the photo-generation tool, the video generation tool and the video editor. While one was rendering, I switched to the other app and worked. That saved a lot of time waiting for things to render!

that work flow makes sense, i've used it (or a variation) myself, but: how you're getting the 'follow through' in runway is topshelf stuff! nice work, again, kudos!
