Wow, those are getting *terrible* reviews on Musician's Friend. I'm glad it's worked for you, but based on those, I wouldn't go near it.

Yes, it gets terrible reviews on MF, but I've known a lot of people that have had good luck with them. Last year at the School of Bass II in Phoenix a bunch of us traveled there with Bass Safes and everyone loved them. The word on the Dudepit afterward was that Chuck Rainey used one on the way home and loved it. From the people I talked to there, and the discussions on the Dudepit afterward, I don't remember anyone that didn't like them.
I would take the reviews on MF with a grain of salt. You have no idea if those people are experienced gigging bassists or just people that pretend to be. The people I talked to are very good, very experienced bass players and I trust their opinions (and my own of course) over a bunch of anonymous people on MF.
